I’ve been busy crafting invitations to my nephew’s 1st birthday party, as well as cards for the Caring Hearts Card Drive. I decided to take a break to play along with the challenge over at the Colour Me…! Challenge Blog.
This week, the CMCC#42 was to create a project using teal, light blue, and pale pink.
I decided to create a non-traditional holiday card with this unique colour combo. Here’s my card:
I started in Silhouette Studio and used some snowflake files from Birds Cards to create my teal background. Once it was cut, I used my Zig 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere my snowflake background to a piece of light blue patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s 6×6 Peace Love Joy Petite Paper Pack. I used some pale pink ribbon to pull in the pink.
For the sentiment, I stamped Merriest Wishes onto a piece of 40lb Bazzill Vellum with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it using pearl embossing powder. I used a glue dot to adhere the vellum behind the bow.
To finish the card, I used my tape runner to adhere the whole panel to a white cardbase.
That’s it for today. Stay tuned for some more non-traditional **cough cough Star Trek** Christmas cards over the next few weeks.
Thanks so much for dropping by!
