Twelve Days of Christmas: Day Seven

Cards, Holiday Card

Welcome back to my Twelve Days of Christmas feature.

In case you missed them, here is a rundown of the first six days:

First day, second day, third day, forth day, fifth day, sixth day.

On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…

ZedSquared-Christmas2014-7…a poinsettia card.

I used Silhouette Studio to design most of the elements of this card. I cut the poinsettias, leaves, and frame from various colours of cardstock using my Silhouette Portrait machine.

After they were cut, I used a makeup sponge to apply some Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red ink to the poinsettia petals, scored the veins and used my fingers to curl the edges. To finish the flowers, I used Ranger Matte Medium to glue two layers of petals together with the leaves and some tiny sequin in the centres.

Using the same liquid glue, I assembled my frame.

I stamped the Deck the Halls sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Deck the Halls stamp set and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine gold embossing powder.

Thanks for dropping by! Stop by again soon for the eight day of Christmas.
