CMCC#60 – Groovy Distress Ink and Simon Says Stamp Favorite Flowers

Any occasion, Cards, Challenges, Love note

Welcome! If winter has been getting you down, you are in for a treat over at the Colour Me…! challenge this week. The challenge is to create a project using turquoise, fuchsia, melon, and yellow–pretty retro, eh?!

CMCC60

For my project, I created a groovy flower power card. I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut the flowers then coloured them, as well the background, using Distress Ink. I used the Distress Ink two different ways–as watercolour, and blended onto the background. Make sure to check out the vid to see how easy it is to create your own flower embellishments.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous background, Julia! Love those splatters. I really need to get my hands on some distress inks!

    1. Thanks so much!! I wish I had recorded the splatter part better, but I guess that just means I’ll have to do another video and share the technique again 😀 It was such a pleasure to be put in your company on the team. xo
