Sunshine with Newton’s Nook

Any occasion, Cards

Welcome! I’m back on the Scrapbooks by Design blog today sharing a card I created using a mini stamp set from Newton’s Nook, Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and Distress Inks. To make my sunshine card, I created my own masks using a Zig 2 Way glue pen as a repositionable adhesive. As usual, you can watch the video tutorial below, or on YouTube.

This is my first time playing with stamps from Newton’s Nook so I’m going to also play along with their Inky Paws Challenge #23, Summer Lovin’. IPC_23_SummerLovin Thanks so much for dropping by!

My Silhouette Portrait Machine

Cards, Silhouette Studio, Tools

Hey guys!

I have a little something different to share today. A viewer over on the Alley Way Stamps YouTube page asked me if I could share the reasons why I chose my Silhouette Portrait machine over the Cameo machine. I’ve been wanting to make this video for a long time now, so this was the push I needed to do it! Enjoy, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

If you’re interested in any of my Silhouette Studio Quick Tricks and Tips videos, you can see the YouTube playlist here.

Happy Birthday Shaker Card

Birthday Cards, Cards

Welcome! This is my second post of my DOUBLE FEATURE today. If you’re here for the Colour Me! challenge, keep scrolling down.

I’m back on the Alley Way Stamps YouTube channel today sharing a shaker card I created by combining two of the mini stamp sets: Moosing You, and Wreathed in Love. You can watch my tutorial below, or on Youtube.

I created my card for a family member who loves owls. She has impeccable taste so I think that using vellum for the shaker window, instead of clear transparency, adds a little bit of elegance to the shaker part of the card.

As always, there is plenty more TAWS inspiration over at their blog.

Colour Me! #81 You’re Berry Special

Any occasion, Cards

Welcome! Ok, so first the good news…today is a DOUBLE FEATURE day! Two new cards, two new videos! Once in a while all the stars align and I have more than one card to post in a day. Today is one of those days!

The first card of the day is for the Colour Me! challenge. The challenge this week is to create a project using pink, coral, plum, and green.

CMCC81

As I’ll explain in my video, I took my inspiration directly from the challenge badge this week.

The picture comes before the video in this post because the video is very long. I usually film my tutorials and then edit out the “fluff” to just keep all the cardmaking goodness but in this video, I narrate my steps (and babble) live as I create the card. So without further ado…

I’ve been really struggling with my crafty mojo recently. I very nearly came to taking the week off and not posting a card for the challenge (gasp!). Luckily, I had a burst of inspiration and was able to create a cheerful little card using the Tooty Fruity stamp set from the Alley Way Stamps.

But wait…there’s more! The Colour Me! design team have outdone themselves this week. Make sure to visit their blogs to see how they created their cards–

Hope You’re Peachy – Colour with Distress Ink

Any occasion, Cards

Welcome! Today I’m back on the TAWS YouTube page sharing a card I created using the Tooty Fruity stamp set. I’ve been on a Distress Ink binge recently and for this card, I used Distress Ink to colour my main focal image. You can watch my video tutorial below, or on YouTube.
