Double Layer Shaker Card

Birthday Cards, Cards

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share that I created almost two months ago and am finally getting the chance to post.

I absolutely adore making shaker cards, for a variety of reasons, but I wanted to up the ante and create something that I’ve never seen before: a double layer shaker card.

There is of course a how-to video so you can follow along as I create the card. You can watch the video below, or over on my YouTube channel.

Creating the shaker portion was just as easy as it always is (layer foam tape over acetate), but this time I created two separate chambers for my shaker material. The top layer is a whole bunch of fun party confetti, and the bottom layer is my favorite sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The effect of the two separate shaker section is really neat in real life and I’m so pleased with how this card turned out.

If you like this card, you may also like the floating shaker card that I created a couple months ago. You can see it over on my YouTube channel in case you missed it.

Christmas Moose

Cards, Christmas Card

Welcome! Well, it’s been a few weeks since my last Colour Me challenge post. I’m back in the game and sharing my first Christmas card of 2015. This week the challenge is to create a project that incorporates red, green, orange, and yellow.

I have a how-to video to share to show you how I made my card. You can watch the video below, or on my YouTube channel.

The Alley Way Stamps stamp set that I used includes the moose, as well as several different decorations.

I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to colour in my moose. To get him all tangled in the lights, I used to fine tip marker to draw the cord, and then used the light bulb stamp to stamp the lights onto the cord. I went back in afterward to colour in each bulb using the challenge colours.

Of course, I had to add a little clear Wink of Stella glitter and Glossy Accents to complete the string of lights.

That’s it for today. Thanks so much for dropping by. I hope to see you playing along at the challenge.

Make Peaches into Pumpkins

Any occasion, Cards, The Alley Way Stamps

Welcome! I hope you’re having a beautiful start to your weekend. Today I’m on the Alley Way Stamps Blog sharing a fall card that I created with summer stamps.

If you’ve been following my blog or YouTube channel, you know how much I adore the Alley Way Stamps, Tooty Fruity, stamp set. I wanted to get even more from the stamps, so I used the peach image to create some fall pumpkins.

As always, I have a how-to video to share. You can watch the video below, or on my YouTube channel.

This card was easier than pumpkin pie! If you’re like me and need to get the most from your stamps, I think a great way to do that is to incorporate them into different seasons.Oct24-ZedSquared-TootyFruityPumpkin

I coloured my pumpkins using Distress Ink. I used the same technique earlier in the summer with this exact same image but got a much different result. In can you missed, it, you can see that video on my YouTube channel.

That’s it for today. Thanks so much for dropping by.

CAS Halloween Card

Cards, Halloween Card

Spooky salutations! Today I’m sharing my final Halloween card for 2015. Today’s card is a clean and simple creation that would make for a great last minute card if you need one.

As always, you can watch the how-to video over on my YouTube channel, or below…if you dare…

I accidentally made an extra card for the Alley Way Stamps this month, but rather than just scrapping the idea and moving on, I decided to share the card here. It was a fun and easy creation and I’m so happy with how the ghoulish colouring turned out.

Using Staples on a Halloween Card

Haunted hellos my crafty friends! Just a quick post for today. I’m back on the TAWS Blog to share another how-to video. You can watch the video below, or on my YouTube channel.

I loved embellishing this card with my Tiny Attacher by stapling on the images for some fun spooky flair.
