Lawn Fawn | Sweet Dreams are Made of Cheese

Any occasion, Cards

Hello lovely crafty friends! I hope you’re having a great start to your week.

Today I’m popping in to share a silly note card that I created using stamps from Lawn Fawn. I like to keep a small supply of cheerful note cards that I can pop into my partner’s lunch on days with I think he can use a little encouragement or love. I think this one fits the bill and will certainly make him smile.

I have a how-to video to share with you so that you can follow along as I create my card. You can watch the video below, or over on my YouTube channel.

I’ve said it before, but I really like using my stamps all year round. It breaks my heart to have to store them away for specific seasons, and in this case, the stamps I used were intended for Thanksgiving. I bought the Thankful Mice set on Black Friday, so I hadn’t even used it before creating this card. Of course, it also helps to have a set of letter stamps so you can stamp any greeting to suit the card.

That’s it for today. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Simon Says Stamp | You are Pawesome Valentine

Cards, Love note

Hi everyone. I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! Thanks so much for dropping by today.

I’m sharing a whimsical valentine’s day card using stamps from Simon Says Stamp. As always, there is a how to video so you can follow along. You can watch the video below, or over on my YouTube channel.

I wanted to create a special love note that didn’t necessarily require a new stamp set. I love using my stamps all through the year, so this was a perfect excuse to pull out the adorable You are Pawesome stamp set.

That’s it for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Until next time,

Lawn Fawn | Non-Traditional Valentine’s Card

Cards, Love note, Masculine Card

Happy Thursday! I hope your week is coming to a beautiful close. Where I live we’ve been getting snow all week. It’s a true winter wonderland and I love it!

For today’s card, love is in the air. I used stamps from Lawn Fawn and a blue colour scheme to create a non-traditional valentine’s day card. I think this one would be great for any guys in your life.

You can watch the how-to video below, or over on my YouTube channel.

I thought the blue went perfectly with the stamp set. I even incorporated some sparkly paper for some extra razzle dazzle. I tend to steer away from anything sparkly when I make more masculine cards, but I think you can get away with a little extra pizzazz on valentine’s day cards.

That’s it for today. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Until next time,

That’s it for today! Have a great weekend.

Welcome 2016! Zed Squared Crafts Update

Hi Everyone!

I’ve been a bit MIA on the Zed Squared blog recently so today I thought I’d pop in to do an update post.

Before I begin my update, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and very happy new year. I myself am truly looking forward to 2016. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me.

Like I mentioned, I’ve been missing in action for a few weeks now. Right before Christmas, I moved. My partner, Luc, and I bought our first ever house (yay!) in November. We don’t close until March, so in the meantime, we’re living with family. Since we moved right before Christmas, I didn’t have a chance to get my temporary craft area set up until earlier this week. Like I said, the space is temporary. I brought along my “essential” crafting goodies, and the rest are in storage.

I’ve set up my most used items on a table, and I’m keeping my other essential items in a storage bin right next to the table.

When we move to the new house, I’ll be setting up my permanent crafty space. I hope to take my readers and viewers along for the ride as I sort out organization systems and storage solutions that work for me. Stay tuned for that in April.

Youtube: I’ve closed on a full year of making crafty tutorial YouTube videos. Making these videos has been one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable things I’ve ever done so I will of course continue to make them. My current setup is slightly different during this transition, but I think it still works. I’ll have videos going up at least twice a week once I’m back into the swing of things.

Thank you so much to all my subscribers and readers. Your continued support and encouragement means more than I can express.

Design Teams: You may, or may not, have noticed that I’m not working on any design teams. My life has been in a stage of flux for the past few months, and I decided that I wanted to reclaim my crafty time. Working for design teams has been amazing, but along with them come commitments to produce projects and meet deadlines. As such, I decided that I wanted to craft on my own schedule and at my own pace. This is something that will work best for me at the present time, but I hope that in the future I’ll design for some new teams.

That’s it for now. Thanks again for all your continued support. Cheers to a fabulous 2016.

With love,
