Hi Friends! Great news–this week my YouTube channel reached 1000(!) subscribers. I still can’t believe it myself! I am so encouraged by everyone’s support and kind words. Thank you so much to all my readers and viewers.
In case you missed my birthday haul video a couple weeks ago, I mentioned that my life is very busy at the moment, so hopefully you can forgive me for fewer posts and videos. Once everything is back to normal, I hope to get back into a more regular posting routine.
In the meantime, today I have a neutral wedding card to share with you. I used supplied from Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn to create this card. You can watch the how-to video below, or over on my YouTube channel.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Until next time,
Happy Thursday! I hope your week is coming to a beautiful close. Where I live we’ve been getting snow all week. It’s a true winter wonderland and I love it!
For today’s card, love is in the air. I used stamps from Lawn Fawn and a blue colour scheme to create a non-traditional valentine’s day card. I think this one would be great for any guys in your life.
You can watch the how-to video below, or over on my YouTube channel.
I thought the blue went perfectly with the stamp set. I even incorporated some sparkly paper for some extra razzle dazzle. I tend to steer away from anything sparkly when I make more masculine cards, but I think you can get away with a little extra pizzazz on valentine’s day cards.
That’s it for today. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Welcome to another week at the Colour Me…! challenge. Today is my birthday! This has been one of those years where it really creeps up without much warning!
So, this week the challenge is to create a project using navy. I’ve been really in the Valentine’s spirit so I kept ridding that wagon with this card.
The card I created is fun and flirty, but with a masculine navy flair. I designed the front panel in Silhouette Studio and cut the front, as well as the heart shaker filling from navy cardstock using my Silhouette Portrait. I softened the look of the shaker by using vellum for the front window.
Thank you so much for dropping by. I hope I’ve inspired you to play along with us over at the Colour Me…! challenge. Make sure to visit the other VERY talented designers for some juicy inspiration–

One more thing before I sign off, I’m going to use this card to play along with the Virginia’s View Challenge #12, Shaker cards—
Until next time!
Welcome! Before I jump in, I want to take a sec to sincerely thank everyone who has been leaving me comments, subscribing to my YouTube channel, liking my Facebook page and just encouraging my efforts. I’m really new to the crafty scene and it just means so much to me when readers take the time to support my efforts. THANK YOU!!
Okay, so this week the Colour Me…! challenge stumped me! The colours are yellow, orange, and green. For some reason, the warm autumn colours just weren’t getting my juices flowing so I had to give this one a good think.
The idea for my card finally came to me while I was Googling hats for my little schnauzer, Zoë (one half of z²), whose delicate ears freeze when she goes outside during winter. The challenge colours are subtly incorporated into the clean and simple design. This card comes complete with it’s own video–
Slow and steady wins the race! I used the adorable Lawn Fawn Year Two set for all of the stamping. I’ve mentioned before that I am a novice colourer so I will use any excuse to practice. I stamped the turtles in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then used my colour pencils and blending solution to colour them in.
I stamped the party hats onto the turtles after I finished colouring and then paper pieced the triangle hat part using orange and yellow paper.
To finish the card, I used Versamark ink to stamp the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment onto some slate cardstock and then heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum powder.
I adhered the slate strip directly onto my 110# white A2 (4¼ x 5½”) cardbase using permanent tape runner and then used foam tape to adhere down the top panels.
I hope I’ve inspired you to play along with the challenge this week! Make sure to check out the other design team members and keep the inspiration flowing–

Until next time!
Welcome to another week at Colour Me…! I was blown away with the talent of the submissions for last week’s challenge and can’t wait to see what you come up with for this one! This week’s combo gave me nautical vibes so I just ran with it. The challenge is to create a card using only red and blue.
My card this week comes complete with it’s own video–
I created an 4Bar card (4 7/8 x 3 1/2″) with a simple striped watercolor background.
I cut out the anchor shape using my Silhouette Portait cutting machine and dry embossed it with a dot embossing folder. I wanted to add some extra dimension and detail so I used a blue marker to colour some pearls the right blue before adhering them onto my card.
Make sure to check out the rest of the design team. They are chock-full of inspiration.
